I’m a User Interface Developer, Interaction Designer and amateur Information Architect with over 10 years web development experience, now living and working in Cape Town, South Africa.

I chose the name ‘Tactile’ after exhausting my search for User Interface related domain names here in South Africa.  I wanted a site name that was humanised, easy to remember and of course a metaphor for HCI (Human-Computer Interaction).

As multi-touch interfaces become norm, I wonder if we’ll ever see a haptic interface that’ll feed back interaction events to us via our sense of touch.  Maybe true haptic interfaces will be the last frontier before all our human-computer interactions turn neural.  We live in exciting times in HCI – I hope this blog captures some of these exciting developments in UX and HCI.
